A ribbon of curved metal takes the shape of the handle, transmitting a sense of lightness. A single element, simple and subtle, seems to move dynamically in space and naturally follows the shape and movement of the hand. It’s interesting to note how the effects of lightness and dematerialization are achieved thanks to three different design tricks: thinness of the object, movement of the shape and illusion of softness. The shape, in fact, seems determined by the subsidence and deformation of the material under the action of the hand that opens the door.
